PROPPR has picked up both Silver and Editor's Choice in the Best Natural Bathroom Product category at the 2026 Clean + Conscious Awards, celebrating the very best ethical, sustainable and conscious products across Australia and New Zealand.
For those who don't know the Clean + Conscious Awards, these aren't handed out on the strength of a well written submission and a good photo. Every product that enters goes through a rigorous, independent assessment of its ingredients and materials, sustainability credentials, ethical practices and social impact. Only then does it land in front of the Expert Panel: 90 respected judges from across the two countries, who spend four weeks putting products through their paces before the highest scorers earn Gold, Silver, Bronze or Editor's Choice recognition.
So, a double win from that panel isn't a small thing. It's the sort of validation that makes eight years of obsessing over finishes, sourcing and sustainability feel very worthwhile.
What the judges actually said
We could tell you PROPPR is beautifully made, thoughtfully sourced and quietly effective. But let's hear from the expert judges instead.
Judge Leah O'Connor put it better than we ever could:
"What stood out most to me was the balance between functionality and design. The product serves a practical purpose, but unlike many bathroom aids, it has been thoughtfully designed to feel aesthetically considered and at home within a well-designed space."
As someone currently expecting, Leah also spoke to the everyday difference a well-designed product can make:
"I particularly appreciated the added comfort and support it provided. It's one of those simple products that can make a meaningful difference to everyday wellbeing while still looking beautiful in the bathroom."
She didn't stop at the surface, either. Leah dug into the supply chain and came away impressed:
"The use of sustainably grown US hardwood, support of family-owned manufacturing partners and emphasis on transparent supply chains demonstrate a genuine commitment to ethical production rather than simply prioritising cost."
Fellow judge Kelley Sheenan was similarly won over by the details most people never think to ask about:
"Impressive list of thoughtful considerations in the production of these toilet stools, such as responsibly sourced, sustainably grown timber, premium materials, mindful packaging practices and the focus on a quality product with longevity in mind."
And on the bit we probably care out most beyond the PROPPR’s function… whether it actually looks good in a bathroom:
"The timeless, minimal design itself would be a beautiful addition to any bathroom."
Why this one matters to us
A toilet stool isn't really ever going to be glamorous - though we reckon ours gives it a decent shot. What we've always believed is that a product designed to improve something as ordinary, and as universal, as how you sit on the loo deserves the same care as anything else in your home. Considered materials. Honest sourcing. A design that doesn't need to hide in a cupboard between uses.
That's the whole idea behind PROPPR: proper posture, properly made, built to last. Hearing an independent panel of experts land on exactly that - unprompted, and after four weeks of actually living with a PROPPR toilet foot stool - is about as good as validation gets.
It also sits alongside a broader commitment; our support for bowel health education, because the product only matters if the underlying health and function case holds up too.
